THE NBA AND HOW IT WORKS.

The National Basketball Association(NBA) is the highest basketball professional league in the world and it is only men that play in this league. It was officially founded in the year 1946 and it was known as the Basketball Association of America(BAA).
Later in the year 1949, BAA merged with the National Basketball league(NBL) to now form the NBA.
The NBA has it's official headquaters in the city of New York and the name of the league's commissioner is Adam Silver. This league comprises of thirty(30) teams with twenty-nine of these teams in the United States while the remaining one is in Canada.
These teams are further distributed into two conferences which are the Eastern and Western conferences and each conference is made up of fifteen(15) teams.
Each conference is then made up of three(3) divisions and there are five teams on each division. Before we go further into the analysis, let's know the teams in each conference and the division they belong to.

THE WESTERN CONFERENCE:

As earlier stated, each conference has three(3) divisions and five teams belong to each division. Let's have a look at the various divisions and the teams therein.

Now in every regular season of the NBA, each of these teams eighty two(82) games playing fourty one games(41) home and away.
Each team plays every other team in it's division four(4) times making it (16), and then plays other teams in other division in it's conference four(4) times making it (24), and then plays the remaining four teams in that same conference three(3) times making it (12). Also teams from one conference play against teams from the other conference twice during the season making it (30).
These fixtures all depends on the league, it doesn't really have have a fixed schedule.
