NBA AND HOW IT WORKS PART THREE(3)

In our previous posts, we have been talking about the system of the basktball league and how it works down to the postseason which is more often called the playoffs, now let's kickoff from where we stopped.
We shared in the last post that in the playoffs, team in the same conference keep playing eachother, it starts off with sixteen(16) teams, eight(8) from each conference and they compete against eachother, then they get to the conference finals whereby the two last teams from each conference play against eachother to decide who is moving on to 'the finals'. This way, teams from either conference don't play against eachother till the finals.
This stage of the competition is called the 'western conference finals' (WCF) for the west and the 'eastern conference finals' (ECF) for the east.
The two teams which emerge from here now play against eachother in the finals and the winner of the two teams wins the Championship Trophy.

The playoffs for this year have already started and this picture shows the teams that qualified and started in the series. Subsequently, teams have been eliminated already and it is remaining only four teams in the playoffs, inorder to determine the teams that get to the finals.

The playoffs is already at the conference finals stage and these are the teams remaining which are already playing. The teams include:

  • Golden State Warriors/Houston Rockets and the series is already 1-0 in favor of the warriors.
  • Cleveland Cavaliers/Boston Celtics and the series is already 1-0 in favor of the celtics.
Each conference still has six(6) more games to play except in a case where it's deemed unneccessary.
In due posts, i will post up updates on this series as it goes on.
